{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"6748d76da343e217d9e95b79","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6748d76da343e217d9e95b79","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6748d76da343e217d9e95b79","title":"Engineer 2","description":"STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions for owners, engineers and contractors worldwide.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate work with other engineers on the team.\nDevelop and present industry technical papers.\nOrganize, plan, budget and schedule design and research activities.\nPerform wind and seismic analyses and related structural design.\nUnderstand standard contract requirements, engineering work planning, scheduling and cost estimating.\nBasic understanding of prestressed and post-tensioned concrete systems.\nBasic understanding of repair and strengthening techniques.\nUnderstand concepts of shoring and advanced load alteration design.\nQualifications and Experience Field experience: 5+ years.\nEngineering background required.\nAbility to independently develop models and perform analysis/design using software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Mathcad.\nStrong oral and written communication skills; able to present design issues to customers and suppliers.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.\nKnowledge of design and construction requirements for prestressed and post-tensioned concrete.\nPhysical and Special Requirements Move about the office; sit for extended periods.\nDexterity of hand and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment.\nVisual acuity sufficient to see items clearly, identify small details.\nAbility to speak and hear detailed information.\nAbility to travel as needed to project sites.\nFlexible with work hours.\nValid driver's license required for rental car operation during travel.\nWillingness to work at heights up to 650 feet off the ground.\nSafety Duties Promote a 24/7 safety culture and exhibit a Safety 24/7 attitude.\nMaintain extreme safety consciousness in all situations.\nSet an example for others by demonstrating safety as a core value.\nWear all Personal Protection Equipment required by safety specifications when visiting job sites or shop areas.\nEEO Statement STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is an equal opportunity employer.
