Solid Power is a dynamic, fast‐paced, collaborative, and innovative team environment. The preferred candidate will be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program focused on engineering, chemistry, or a related field.\n\n Job Duties:\n\nWork closely with and under the direction of engineers to run experiments at the lab bench scale\nExecute analytical measurements following provided SOPs\nDocumentation and analysis of results with supervision of senior engineers\nCommunicate results and roadblocks to the broader team/audience\nAlways follow all facility and laboratory safety rules and regulations\n\nQualifications/ Requirements:\n\nComfort with safe handling of hazardous materials in a glovebox and associated equipment (required)\nKnowledge of materials chemistry is preferred and a plus\nExperience with material characterization techniques (XRD, SEM/EDS, rheology, etc.) is a plus\nExcellent communication skills\nFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suite\nRapid learner and self-motivated who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative start-up environment\nThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.\n\n Education and Experience:\n\nEnrolled at least at a junior level in a bachelor's program in a STEM field\nExperience with materials synthesis and analysis a plus\n\nPhysical Requirements (with or without accommodation):\n\nProlonged periods of sitting at a desk\nRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR\nAbility to work in gloveboxes and dry rooms\n\n Hourly Compensation: $25/hour\n\nSchedule: 15-20 hours per week during fall semester\n\nApplication Deadline: This role will be posted until a suitable candidate has been identified\n\nExport Control Requirements:\n\nThis position requires access to technology, software, and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls.
