You\\'ll independently manage proficiency testing, monitor quality control performance, and ensure adherence to CLIA, CAP, and state regulations—while driving measurable improvements through automation and AI-powered workflows.\r\nThis role offers genuine autonomy: you\\'ll interpret regulatory requirements, scope internal audits, evaluate root causes, and formulate corrective actions. You\\'ll also champion the innovative use of AI tools and automation to strengthen our quality systems, reduce manual effort, and enhance compliance readiness.\r\nWhat You\\'ll Do Administer proficiency testing programs across all regulated analytes and specialties\r\nDesign and implement automation solutions that reduce manual work while preserving regulatory integrity\r\nAnalyze QC and PT data, identify trends, and track corrective actions to completion\r\nConduct internal audits and prepare for regulatory inspections (CMS, CAP, state agencies)\r\nInvestigate deviations and complaints; determine root causes and implement preventive measures\r\nMaintain current knowledge of CLIA, CAP, FDA, OSHA, HIPAA, and state regulations\r\nSupport method validation and verification activities\r\nLeverage AI resources to audit documentation, analyze data, and identify compliance risks proactively\r\nCollaborate with laboratory leadership and clinical systems staff on quality and compliance initiatives\r\nRequired Bachelor\\'s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field\r\nMinimum 3 years in a CLIA-regulated clinical laboratory environment\r\nValid driver\\'s license\r\nPreferred 2+ years in laboratory QA, compliance, or accreditation activities\r\nExperience with AI tools (LLMs, document automation, data analysis platforms)\r\nLaboratory information systems, middleware, or instrument interface experience\r\nMethod validation and statistical QC expertise (Levey-Jennings, Westgard rules)\r\nASCP certification (MLS, MLT, CLS) or laboratory quality certification (ASQ CQA, ASCP QLC)\r\nExperience supporting laboratory inspections or accreditation surveys\r\nCore Competencies Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently; proficiency in Microsoft Office and document control systems; sound judgment in regulated environments.\r\nPhysical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.\r\nAbility to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment for extended periods, including repetitive hand and wrist motion.\r\nAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., proficiency testing shipments, supplies, reference materials).\r\nAbility to perform close visual work, including reading small print on laboratory documentation, instrument displays, and computer screens.\r\nAbility to communicate clearly in person, by telephone, and through electronic platforms.\r\nAbility to travel by automobile or commercial transportation to other Interpath Laboratory sites as assigned.\r\nWhat We Offer A role where quality leadership matters and AI-driven innovation is encouraged.
