Entry-Level Coding Specialist

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I. Key Responsibilities Examine medical records to assign proper ICD and CPT codes Utilize coding tools to verify the correctness of assigned codes Maintain coding accuracy and productivity rates while participating in training and education Required Qualifications, Training, and Education High school diploma or equivalent Must obtain one of the following credentials within 12 months: CCS, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or CCS-P Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding Familiarity with payor guidelines and coding regulations Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
