This is a hands-on, impact-heavy internship designed for someone who wants to build real programs—not just observe them. You'll split your time between field work (50%) and program development/writing (50%), supporting manufacturing, R&D, and Facilities teams across our Woodland and Davis locations.If you're passionate about safety, enjoy solving problems, and want experience that translates directly into an EHS career, this is the internship where you'll build the skills that matter.What You Could Work On (This list may change based on project completion and needs at time of hire)Major ProjectsYou will lead and support several high-value EHS initiatives, including:Safety Program DevelopmentBuild the Safety Manual for any one of our onsite products used in a construction setting, working with production, engineering, and maintenance teamsDevelop in-depth written EHS programs, including Lockout/Tagout, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding, and other core safety elementsLockout/Tagout (LOTO) ProgramCreate LOTO procedures for all equipment across multiple sitesPerform field verification, equipment identification, and hands-on data collectionIndustrial Hygiene ProgramDevelop Industrial Hygiene sampling criteria, strategy, and documentationSupport noise, air, and chemical exposure assessmentsErgonomics ProgramBuild and implement a full Ergonomics program, including analysis tools, assessment templates, and corrective action planningHealth & Wellness Program FoundationsSupport development of health‑related policies and initiatives, contributing to the health side of EHS (wellbeing, fitness for duty, etc.)Daily ResponsibilitiesConduct field safety walkthroughs and collect on-the-floor dataAssist with incident reviews and corrective actionsParticipate in cross-functional meetings with Production, R&D, Facilities, and leadershipMaintain documentation and EHS metrics through Microsoft Office and Navarro platformsHelp drive a culture of safety engagement and continuous improvementWho You'll Work WithThis internship partners closely with:Production and Operations teamsR&D teamsFacilities & MaintenanceEHS LeadershipOccasional interaction with Corporate LeadershipYou'll be supported by the Corporate EHS manager while also being trusted to lead your own project work.Why This CompanyWe're committed to building a world-class safety culture—not because we have to, but because it's the right thing to do.
