Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\n\nOffice Duties (±75% of work time):\n\nRead and interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and design requirements related to telecommunications, commercial, and industrial applications.\n\nPrepare bids and quotes for prospective projects in a competitive environment.\n\nMaterial take-offs\n\nLabor estimates\n\nPricing\n\nPrepare professional closeout reports for clients.\n\nConduct due diligence for projects prior to field work.\n\nField Duties (±25% of work time):\n\nTravel is by air and driving.\n\nMost of the field work will be oversight of sub-contractors building foundations.\n\nSite inspections and reporting.\n\nClimbing towers is not required but is a plus.\n\nCandidate must have a labor-intensive attitude and be capable of lifting fifty pounds.\n\nShould have the physical ability and the willingness to occasionally scan, probe, dig and drill to obtain dimensions on towers and related structures.\n\nAdhere to all company and industry standard/regulations (OSHA, ASTM, ANSI, etc.)\n\nAbility to work independently under limited supervision.\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\n\nSelf-starter, team player, results oriented.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nThe ideal candidate will have general construction experience; cell tower industry experience is a plus.\n\nExperience in AutoCAD or similar drawing software is a plus.\n\nStrong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workplace.\n\nGood communication and interpersonal skills; self-starter, team player, and results oriented. The position is open to someone with the adequate background and a motivated attitude who requires additionally training.\n\nMust be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.\n\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities\n\nAbility to multi-task and work on different projects simultaneously.\n\nStrong technical, written, and oral communications skills.\n\nStrong understanding of financial and budgetary requirements on projects.\n\nExperience communicating directly with and providing services to clients.\n\nAbility to understand and apply budgeting principles throughout project lifecycle.\n\nExperience in working with multiple construction discipline projects within the telecommunication, commercial or light/heavy industrial fields is preferred.\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSub-contractor oversight during construction projects. This position requires the employee to ensure that all work is in keeping with the design and contractual documents. While on site the Construction Associate is responsible for ensuring safety practices are adhered to.\n\nEssential Functions\n\nResponsible for planning and conducting independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation and selection of vendors, materials, and subcontractors.\n\nDevise new approaches to problems and monitor work compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and TEP standards\n\nAbility to review and follow construction drawings\n\nAbility to exercise independent decision making for purchase orders, sales orders, etc. as pertaining to assigned projects\n\nPrepare reports and closeouts related to projects\n\nWork with multiple jurisdictions to comply with permitting and zoning requirements\n\nPotential overflow into other areas of Civil engineering\n\nPhysical Demands\nThis is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required.
