The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proven experience in managing the financial performance of a manufacturing business, and will be proficient in Manufacturing ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. The Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer.\nDuties\nPrepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.\nManage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Oversee the monthly financial close process to ensure completeness, accuracy and timeliness.\nDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop financial plans and targets.\nMonitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability.\nCollaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits and tax filings.\nCommunicate appropriate financial information to all stakeholders, including the board of directors, lenders, and insurance carriers.\nProvide financial leadership and support to senior management, assisting with strategic decision-making and business planning.\nStay abreast of industry trends and best practices, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification preferred.\n10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance in a manufacturing environment, proficiency in cost accounting is a plus.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.\nStrong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.\nDetail-oriented and organized\nJoin us to lead our financial strategy with energy and precision!
