Be a part of something special!\n\nPosition Overview\n\nHalvik is seeking a candidate who will be responsible for evaluating, architecting, deploying and maintaining cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure cloud using DevSecOps practices. The Azure Engineer will provide expert technical guidance on cloud security, system upgrades, and issue resolution to customer leadership, stakeholders, and users.\n\nThis role in on-site in Washington, DC daily M-F.\n\nCore Responsibilities\n\nAnalyze cloud spending, identify trends, and develop strategies to optimize and reduce costs.\nCreate and maintain budgets for cloud services. Forecast future costs based on trends and organizational growth.\nEvaluate and select Azure services (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Functions, Azure Policy) to support enterprise workloads.\nWork closely with NTIA ITD to understand their cloud needs and ensure alignment with the budget.\nCollaborate with security operations to embed Zero Trust principles, identity governance, and threat protection into cloud designs.\nEnsure compliance with federal mandates (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, EO 14028, CNSSI 1253) and internal security policies.\nDesign secure landing zones using Azure and Policy.\nImplement Azure governance models including management groups, role-based access control (RBAC), and tagging strategies.\nMonitor and optimize cloud spend using Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor.\nArchitect solutions that leverage cloud-native services while integrating with on-prem systems (hybrid cloud).\nWork closely with DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural consistency.\nProvide architectural oversight for cloud migration and modernization projects.\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nEducation: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.\nExperience: Minimum 4 years of experience in a Cloud proficiency. Minimum of 4 years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, automation, CI/CD, and/or enterprise software delivery.\nTechnical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps Services or Server.
