{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"66d6fe284461ed11fa7dfd62","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/66d6fe284461ed11fa7dfd62","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/66d6fe284461ed11fa7dfd62","title":"Network Engineering Specialist","description":"Location: Reston, VA\nNo. of Positions: 2\nLength of Contract: 6 months (to start)\nW2 range: $42.18- $46.72/hr\nOnly Candidates who are authorized to work in the US will be considered for this position.\nScope of Work\nThis position will provide technical support in the execution and maintenance of the IP, MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), PIP (Peerless IP), and Ethernet production networks.\nFollows proven processes to ensure the quality of new IP configurations does not negatively impact our customers, perform logical layer testing, fault isolation, and service turn-up using proprietary and vendor network management tools.\nThe candidate should have a thorough understanding of telephony principles, routing protocols such as static, BGP, EIGRP and OSPF, and for value add services such as class of service (COS), multipath, and multicast.\nThe ideal candidate would have experience with Cisco 7500 series, Cisco Gigabit Switch Router, or Cisco Core Switching Router-1, and an understanding of multi-layer switching.\nJuniper router experience is a plus.\nInteracts directly with customers to troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and optimize the network to meet customer requirements.\nThe candidate within Customer and Network Delivery will fulfill the following requirements:\nMUST BE A U.S. Citizen\nPerform moderately complex configuration changes on Provider Edge Cisco routers.\nProvide first level and second level assistance for trouble resolution.\nReviews customer network designs to ensure feature functionality requirements are accurate.\nPerform logical layer testing.\nFollow and execute operating procedures when applicable. Ensure completed assignments are documented appropriately resolved.
