One Team! One Mission!\nHow You’ll Make an Impact:\nThe CMM Programmer develops programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured product. Uses CMM and other inspection tools to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data. Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives.\n\nWhat you’ll be doing as a CMM Programmer:.\nWorking a full-time, onsite position at our Rockford, MI location.\nDevelop, generate, and optimize CMM programs for new and existing parts.\nTroubleshoot, validate, and perform proof-outs of CMM programs.\nWork with CAD models (e.g., CATIA) to create accurate inspection programs.\nAnalyze part features and GD&T requirements to ensure proper inspection strategy.\nImprove existing programs for efficiency, accuracy, and cycle time reduction.\nCollaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to support new product introduction and process improvements.\nIdentify programming-related issues and recommend solutions to improve quality and throughput.\nPerform CMM inspections for final layout and validation as needed.\nConduct in-process, final, and incoming inspections to verify product conformance.\nPerform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 and customer requirements.\nUse conventional inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges) as required.\nSupport first article buy-offs, in-process checks, and final inspections.\nDocument and report non-conformances and support corrective actions.\nInterpret engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).\nMaintain inspection reports, FAI documentation, and quality records.\nCoordinate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules and quality goals.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety and quality policies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):\nMinimum 3 years of experience in a quality or CMM programming role.\nDemonstrated success in CMM Programming.\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, Catia, and Enovia specifications.\nExperience with CMM Software such as Zeiss, Calypso, PC-DMIS, MCOSMOS, VeriSurf, Wenzel, etc.\nIf versed in other CMM programs, a willingness to learn those above is a must.\nKnowledge of aerospace inspection techniques, trigonometry, and measuring practices.\nWorking knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.\nProven analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.\nExperience with first article reports, recordkeeping, and documentation control.\nStrong organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.\nPreferred Qualifications (Education, skills and experience):\nExperience with Zeiss and Calypso CMM Software.\nRenishaw Revo 2 5 axis CMM head, In machine profilometer attachment\nMinimum of 2 years’ experience as a QA Inspector in the aerospace industry\nHands-on experience with CMMs, geometric tolerances, and precision measurement equipment.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MRP systems.\nCompensation and Benefits:\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.\nChoice of medical plan options, including a no-cost employee-only coverage plan\nHSA-eligible health plan with employer contributions\nBasic and supplemental life insurance\nLong-term disability coverage\n401(k) plan with up to a 6% QACA company match\nPaid time off including vacation, sick time, and nine (9) paid company holidays\nShift differentials for applicable off-shifts\nDiscretionary bonus programs based on position and company performance\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
