{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"66cb6e9067caee7597ebdcc0","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/66cb6e9067caee7597ebdcc0","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/66cb6e9067caee7597ebdcc0","title":"CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate","description":"Title: CNC & NC Machine Setup & Operate P&R\nLocation: Syracuse, NY\nJob Type: FTE/Permanent\nThe core hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.\nWhat you’ll do:\nSetup and operate NC and CNC machines and any conventional machines in the Casting Cells to perform a variety of turning, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, threading, forming, facing, milling, slotting, grooving, chamfering, serrating and deburring operations to produce a variety of explosion-proof parts of various materials\nOperate machines include, but are not limited to, single spindle and multi-spindle drill presses and tappers; milling machines; parts washers; and deburring grinder\nRefer to assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and machining blueprints to maintain tolerances.\nSet controls and perform other manual data input functions as required, review operation data sheets, parts program, tape readouts and prints, and change collets and/or chucks; load and unload parts; load, unload and adjust tools as necessary\nCheck first piece using fixed or adjustable gauges; gauge periodically and visually inspect all parts for appearance and compliance to specifications; correct for any discrepancies.\nMaintain a supply of materials to machines and remove finished work as necessary to establish a flow through the cells\nOperate fork truck to facilitate own work or to move material around department as required\nMaintain work area, machines and control units in a clean, neat and orderly condition and follow 5-S's principles\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nMinimum two (2) years’ previous work experience in machine setup and operation\nAbility to read and understand blueprints, charts, and tables\nAuthorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.\nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position.
