The position follows standard production methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.\r\nPositions include:\r\nFrame, layout and build floors\r\nPrepare, layout and build walls\r\nLayout, run and install electrical lines, switches, receptacles and panels/breaker boxes\r\nInstall and prepare dry for finish tape, mud and texture\r\nComplete roof construction, decking, flashing and shingling\r\nCabinet and or finish carpentry and trim, build and installation\r\nInstallation of siding, windows and doors\r\nPainting of interior and exterior of homes\r\nCooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees\r\nAdhere to all rules and regulations, at all times\r\nMeet or exceed company safety standards\r\nPerform other tasks as assigned by management\r\nEssential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPractice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.\r\nWork in a team environment to produce products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.\r\nServe as a good steward of our company's physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.\r\nAssist Supervisors and Forepersons to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.\r\nPerform other duties assigned.\r\nSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.\r\nMinimum RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.\r\nHigh School diploma or GED preferred\r\nConstruction or Warehouse Experience a plus, but not required\r\nVersatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.\r\nAbility to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.\r\nSkilled in the operation and control of hand tools (tape measure, hammer, utility knife, etc.)\r\nFlexible to work in a fast paced, changing environment\r\nMust be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States\r\nMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen\r\nCompetenciesAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions.\r\nAbility to write simple correspondence. Verbal expression ability to effectively present information, in both individual and small group situations.\r\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Ability to read tape measure.\r\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\r\nOvertime work is involved.\r\nWork Environment / Physical ActivityThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
