OPD's industry experience, flexibility, and personal attention have made us a preferred partner to our customers and our tight knit, highly productive, team atmosphere makes OPD a great place to work.\nWhat You Will Do\nSome core responsibilities for a Pipefitter Foreman include:\n\nStrong knowledge of pipefitting, tools, procedures, and best practices\nAbility to lead small teams\nAssign job duties of the crew and ensure that each employee is properly trained\nBeing a safety role model for the team\nEnforcing OPD and client specific safety policies and procedures on the jobsite\nAnticipate and recognize potential safety and environmental concerns and report them to the OPD Superintendent.\nProviding records of work completed to the OPD superintendent\nCommunicate with OPD Superintendent as required for material requirements and to schedule NDE for pipe and vessel welding.\nWe expect all field employees to:\n\nActively participate in a strong safety culture\nRecognize safety hazards and risks\nParticipate in onsite safety meetings\nFollow OPD and client safety policies and procedures\nBe aware of changing conditions on an active jobsite\nBe on time to the jobsite each day ready for work\nDisplay a positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment\nSome physical demands of being a Pipefitter Foreman include:\n\nCapable of working in outdoor weather and environmental conditions including extreme heat and humidity, extreme cold, and high elevations.\nLifting and carrying awkward objects up to 60 lbs\nStanding for extended periods of time up to 11 hours per day. Breaks are given in 2.5 hour intervals\nMoving the entire body. Considerable use of arms, legs, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting, reaching, and bending on a regular basis.\nUse hands to handle, control, and feel objects and/or tools.\nWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)\n\nAt least 3 years of experience as a pipefitter\nOther Job Requirements:\n\nMust be able to read, write & communicate in English\nMust be a role model for safety\nTravel is a must with extended periods away from home in remote areas at times.\nMust be able to perform a pre-employment drug screen and background check\nMust be willing and able to attend and/or lead employee safety meetings\nMust be able to work shifts up to 12 hours per day and 7 days per week\nMust be able to meet all physical demands of the job\nWhat Will Put You Ahead\n\nPrevious experience in a gas plant construction environment\nAt least one year of previous experience as a pipefitter foreman\nAt least 5 years of previous experience as a pipefitter\nPrevious experience being a leader in safety\nPrevious experience leading small teams of 10-25 people\nAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
