You’ll also have the opportunity to support engineers, designers, and drafters on a variety of projects, gaining hands‑on experience and exposure to real‑world engineering work.\n\nEducation\n\nPursuing bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering\n\nPreferably an undergraduate expecting to graduate by 2 nd quarter of 2026\n\nQualifications\n\nBasic knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.\n\nTeam player with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills\n\nAbility to work independently.\n\nExperience using SolidWorks and Autodesk products.\n\nAbility to interpret and apply guide lines from various sources including but not limited to the FDA, USDA, 3A, Code of Federal Regulations, CSA, and EU/CE directives and harmonized standards.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication, excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\n\nFamiliarity with electrical wiring and systems a plus.\n\nFamiliarity with PDM software a plus.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPerform engineering duties in planning and designing machine parts and other mechanically functioning equipment.\n\nResponsible for drafting, designing, developing diagrams and 3D models for complex packaging machines.\n\nParticipates in the analysis and validation of design concepts.\n\nPerforms routine engineering tasks using standard engineering practices.\n\nLearn to apply applicable design principles related to machinery involved in the packaging or handling of food products.\n\nAssist with specifying equipment components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.\n\nResearch, design, evaluate and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, processes to meet requirements and applying knowledge of engineering principles.\n\nFollow Winpak engineering procedures such as naming conventions, baseline dimensioning, tolerancing and creation of assemblies and parts.\n\nCreate bills of materials and monitor assigned projects to insure accuracy and on time delivery.\n\nExpected to learn correct data entry methods for Winpak Systems.\n\nParticipate with investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.\n\nAssist drafters, designers and engineers as needed.\n\nClear communication is key part in the success of this position.\n\nMust be familiar with and able to apply applicable design principles to sanitation.\n\nBecome familiar with machinery safety and guarding per OSHA, CE and CSA\n\nThis is a part time position, based out of our facility in Rialto, California\n\nCompensation Range: $22.00-$25.00/hour. The compensation range provided is a general guideline only.
