digital ticketing system in accordance with NFPA Standards and ADS Company policy.\n\nArrive on time for all scheduled jobs, accounting for traffic, weather, and distance.\n\nCommunicate job details, status updates, and issues with managers, coworkers, and schedulers.\n\nPerform acceptance testing and inspections on newly installed fire alarm systems.\n\nInspect buildings for fire hazards and code violations, including combustible material accumulation, electrical wiring issues, and blocked or non-functional fire exits.\n\nConduct fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure that corrective actions have been taken in cases where violations were found.\n\nInspect properties that store, handle, and use hazardous materials to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations.\n\nIssue hazardous materials permits when applicable.\n\nWrite detailed reports of fire inspections performed, fire code violations observed, and corrective recommendations offered.\n\nIdentify corrective actions needed to achieve code compliance and explain them to property owners or representatives.\n\nMaintain company-issued vehicle, tools, inventory, and communication devices in good working order.\n\nComply with all ADS safety procedures and policies as outlined in the company’s personnel handbook.\n\nMaintain punctuality and adhere to attendance requirements and scheduling expectations.\n\nAdhere to all company policies and procedures.\n\nOther duties as assigned by management.\n\nEducation/Experience\n\nHigh school Diploma or equivalent is required.\n\nMinimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience is required.\n\nAssociates Degree in Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology or related field is preferred.\n\nTechnical/vocational certification or training is preferred.\n\nExperience in the alarm or security systems industry is a plus.\n\nKnowledge/Skills/Abilities\n\nKnowledge of fire alarm systems, including control panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, annunciators, and inspection/testing requirements in accordance with NFPA 72 and applicable codes and standards.\n\nWorking knowledge of electrical systems, fire alarm components, testing equipment, mobile devices, and software applications used for inspections and documentation.\n\nAbility to inspect, test, and evaluate fire alarm systems to identify deficiencies, code compliance issues, and system performance concerns.\n\nAbility to analyze information, troubleshoot problems, and exercise sound judgment when determining corrective actions or recommendations.\n\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, work orders, code requirements, drawings, and procedural documents.\n\nStrong written communication skills with the ability to prepare accurate, detailed, and professional inspection reports and related documentation.\n\nStrong verbal communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, property representatives, coworkers, and management.\n\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments efficiently while meeting inspection schedules and attendance expectations.\n\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team.\n\nProficiency in operating testing and diagnostic equipment, mobile inspection software, Microsoft Office applications, and other company-approved technology.\n\nAbility to recognize potentially hazardous conditions, follow established safety procedures, and maintain a safe work environment.\n\nAbility to climb ladders, work in confined or elevated spaces, and safely lift and carry tools and equipment required to perform inspections.\n\nLicenses/Certifications\n\nMaintain a driver’s license, maintain an insurable driving record, and be capable of driving on company assignments.\n\nMust be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois
