Revere technicians support critical infrastructure systems through field service, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation support services.The JobRevere Control Systems is seeking a Field Service Technician to support municipal utility operations throughout Polk County, Florida. This position provides hands-on technical support for instrumentation and controls related equipment across a large and diverse utility infrastructure network.The role primarily regionally based within Polk County, with daily travel throughout the county expected as part of normal operations. Technicians supporting Polk County return home each evening. Overnight travel is limited to rare occasions when supporting Revere projects, startups, emergency response activities, or specialized work outside the Polk County service area.This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy troubleshooting, problem solving, and working independently in the field while supporting critical infrastructure systems that directly impact local communities.The Skills You NeedTo succeed in this role, you must have experience with:Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and control systemsSupport water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, lift stations, well sites, and related utility infrastructureDiagnose issues involving PLCs, SCADA systems, VFDs, telemetry systems, MCCs, relays, and process instrumentationPerform preventive maintenance inspections and operational system checksSupport equipment startups, commissioning, and field-testing activitiesRead and interpret electrical drawings, loop diagrams, P&IDs, and control documentationDocument field findings, calibration records, repairs, and recommendationsCoordinate with operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, contractors, and project managersMaintain safe work practices while operating around industrial electrical and process equipmentParticipate in a rotational on-call schedule supporting 24-hour utility operationsPreferred ExperienceWater or wastewater utilitiesIndustrial instrumentation and controlsPLC and SCADA systemsElectrical troubleshootingProcess automationVFD and motor control systemsAnalytical instrumentationNetworking and telemetry systemsWhat Make This Position UniqueLocal travel within Polk CountyHome at nightLong-term support role within a large municipal utility systemWide variety of instrumentation and controls workOpportunity to develop deep system familiarity and customer relationshipsCombination of field troubleshooting, operations support, and technical problem solvingExposure to multiple disciplines including instrumentation, electrical systems, automation, and SCADA integrationRotational on-call schedule supporting critical infrastructure operationsExperience And Ability RequirementsThree (3) to five (5) years of related work experience in field service.Basic computer software skills using Microsoft Office Suite, E-Mail, Internet.Completion of OSHA safety training/certification.Basic math and computer skills.Self-motivated and a proven ability to take charge of a task and complete it with minimal supervision.Knowledge and experience with specialized tools, test, and calibration equipment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to interact with customers, vendors, company employees and subcontractors.Technical school, associate degree, military technical training, or equivalent field experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage field assignmentsWillingness to participate in an on-call rotation scheduleAbility to work safely in industrial and municipal utility environmentsHave and maintain a valid driver’s license and ability to qualify for company insurance coverage.Answering Your QuestionsWhen you are considering a new job, it is normal to have a ton of questions.
