In this position, you will support healthcare providers, contribute to a positive patient experience, and be part of a collaborative, patient-focused team dedicated to making every visit meaningful.Position Summary:The Medical Call Center Representative is responsible for managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, scheduling patient appointments, and providing excellent customer service. This role ensures accurate patient information, proper triage of patient needs, and effective communication between patients, providers, and internal departments.Education and TrainingHigh School Diploma or GEDExperienceOne to two years of experience working at a medical call center, medical front desk or similar role.Experience with patient scheduling systems and registration procedures preferred.SkillsWorking knowledge of:Patient scheduling software.Patient registration & scheduling.Insurance verification and basic billing procedures.Data entry and database management.Office equipment, including scanners, fax machines, and copiers.Understanding of:Customer service best practice in a healthcare settingPrincipal Duties And ResponsibilitiesSchedule patient appointments for all practice physicians and locations.Assist with rescheduling patients due to provider or office schedule changes.Triage patient concerns appropriately when scheduling appointments.Coordinate referral scheduling for both office locations.Complete the “Triage Tech Sheet” and process according to established protocols.Accurately enter and verify all demographic and billing information for new and established patients.Notify appropriate locations of cancellations, reschedules, and walk-in (WI) appointments.Communicate all cancellations, reschedules, and walk-in appointments to the E&B department.Complete QM tasks and send progress notes to physicians in a timely manner.Assist with requesting and retrieving patient charts from storage for upcoming appointments.Support the Call Center Lead with voicemail management, including retrieving and distributing messages.Assist the Call Center Lead with maintaining the Photo Folder in Medflow.Support collection efforts for outstanding balances and assist with daily payment batching.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Call Center Lead.Benefits Package:90% Employer Paid Employee MedicalDentalVision100% Employer Paid STD & LTDSupplemental Insurance Options15 Days PTO – First Year7 Paid Holidays401k Plan and Amazing Work EnvironmentEqual Employment Opportunity StatementFlorida Pediatric Associates is an equal opportunity employer.
