The Java developer must have a strong familiarity with object-oriented design and development, unit testing, test-driven development, and Linux environments. This is an awesome opportunity to work with leading edge technologies in the IP video surveillance market.\n\nDuties/Responsibilities\nParticipate in a well-defined Agile software development process with other senior developers.\nDevelop high quality, well-designed application code for features and system components.\nParticipate in feature design, ensuring a balance between business and technology requirements.\nDeliver code as scheduled that adheres to the design.\nFind root causes of defects in features.\nAdhere to coding practices designed to promote code reuse and standardization.\nProvide time and resource estimates for own feature areas.\nIdentify risks and mitigation strategies.\n\nRequired Skills/Abilities\nExpertise in Java 8+.\nFamiliarity with: Gradle, Jersey, SQL, jOOQ, JNI.\nObject Oriented design background.\nREST web service design and development.\nAn active concern for quality engineering, with experience building scalable web applications.\n\nAny of the following would be a plus:\nContinuous integration using Jenkins and SonarQube.\nCode samples and portfolio of designs.\nContributions to open source projects (for example a github page).\n\nEducation and Experience\nMinimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
