The Lead Electrical Engineer manages electrical engineering activities within the organization. Implements and maintains policies and procedures for designing, performing calculations and details for installing electrical systems. Responsible for reviewing and approving new or revised designs, or installation procedures. Ensure engineering projects are properly staffed, and milestones are achieved\n\nKey Responsibilities\nStrong understanding of engineering lifecycles related to electrical deliverables.\nWork directly and effectively with project lead engineers and other MEP disciplines to design electrical systems for Biotech and Pharmaceutical clients.\nUnderstand switchgear design, low, medium, and high voltage, single line diagrams, line, etc.\nDevelop technical specifications and layouts while working in tandem with project managers and engineers across multiple disciplines.\nIdentify deliverables, define requirements, create detailed design drawings and plans for electrical systems.\nDevelop electrical layout including the size of electrical equipment on floor plans.\nEnsure all electrical projects adhere to quality standards.\nInteract and present to contractors, clients and internal team.\nProvides guidance and professional development to a team of engineers.\nProvides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.\nCapable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.\nSkills & Qualifications\nMust be a licensed P.E.\nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering\n10+ years of facility design and construction in clean rooms, laboratories, biotech, pharma, or Life sciences industries\nStrongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative\nTakes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team\nAbility to work independently as well as in a team environment effectively\n\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment\nExcellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously\nMicrosoft Office includes proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks.\n\nThe Company\nDPS Group, Inc. is proudly part of the Arcadis Group of Companies and is a global EPCM firm offering full-service solutions within the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology) and Advanced Technology (semiconductor, data center, and solar) industries.
