Systems are more portable and flexible, but also more complex. A Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer is able to apply fundamental IT principles to infrastructure development and management that enables modern software operations in portable cloud platforms.\r\nEssential Duties\r\nWork with cloud infrastructure providers to manage environments and best-practices\r\nIaC: develop scripts and configuration for repeatable deployment of software and systems\r\nAid with infrastructure and systems design and development\r\nApply understanding of IT fundamentals to complement software projects (load balancing, DNS, TLS, virtualization)\r\nParticipate in DevOps infrastructure automation\r\nEnforce security principles and practices\r\nWork together with Platform and AppDev personnel to design, deploy, operate, and improve software and systems\r\nEstimate infrastructure and systems costs, and enforce resource budgets\r\nDevelop and document operational and support processes\r\nEducation Requirements\r\nTechnical or project management expertise must be documented in the form of academic degrees or other documented credentials\r\nBachelor's degree in IT-related field\r\nOR equivalent experience\r\nCloud Native Computing foundation certifications are a plus\r\nSpecial Skills\r\nWe provide a list of technologies as a reference, but we are ultimately looking for traits and skills that are complementary to our team and the markets we serve.
