SQL Developer

Description:Client is seeking a skilled SQL Developer to join both functional and technical teams supporting the migration of the legacy Student Information System to the FOCUS platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust database solutions while following modern application development methodologies. This role requires hands-on database expertise and is strictly onsite with no remote work option. Responsibilities:Manage the complete lifecycle of database development, from SQL database design through implementation.Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and related structures.Build and manage complex SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages for data integration and migration activities.Develop high-performance and efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.Utilize DBeaver to create and manage tables, fields, and organizational data structures.Collaborate closely with developers and interact with database administrators as needed.Read, analyze, and work with data from FOCUS systems and PostgreSQL environments.Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure integrity, consistency, and accuracy of records.Support migration activities for student information systems and legacy data environments.Follow established application development methodologies and best practices.Participate in deployment and support activities within DevOps environments. Required Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (equivalent experience considered).Minimum 5 years of IT experience as a SQL Programmer/SQL Developer.Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design and development.Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).Expertise in writing complex and optimized SQL queries.Experience with database schema design and data modeling.Proficiency using DBeaver or similar database management tools.Experience working with PostgreSQL databases.Knowledge of DevOps environments and deployment processes.Strong data validation and troubleshooting abilities.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills:Knowledge or experience with API development.Experience supporting system migration projects.Familiarity with Student Information Systems or educational environments.Experience working with FOCUS systems.
