This position serves as T-Solution’s manager for Port Engineering Program personnel in Mayport, FL. The primary function of this role is to ensure Port Engineers and Combat System Port Engineers follow U.S. Navy maintenance policies as well as T-Solution policies and have the necessary knowledge and tools to do their jobs.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nMentor Port Engineers\nPractice PE Standard Day\nFacilitate Peer Reviews\nMonitor PE Performance Metrics\nCommunicate issues, foster adoption of best practices and lessons learned with DPM, APMs, and PEs\nParticipate in daily ship visits\nCommunicate\nOwn initiatives and priorities of T-Solutions\nOwn initiatives and priorities of LSPEs\nProvide input to DPM for CDRLs\nRecognize BZs and employee successes\nTrain\nEncourage developmental training\nAttend performance-relevant Government meetings and required T-Solutions meetings\nRecruiting\nSupervise Port Engineers\nPerformance Evaluation\nTimekeeping/Expense Reimbursement\nUnderstand and resolve employee issues\nDevelop and research tools to improve the efficiency of PEs\n\nTravel:\nThis position includes quarterly travel to Fleet Concentration Support areas.\nLocated at the waterfront near LSPEs.\n\nEducation, Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:\nA Bachelor’s degree in Management or an Engineering/Technical field\nLevel III or higher PE/CSPE Certification or can be obtained within one year of employment\nProficient in MST, VSB, NMD, eDFS, and Microsoft Office\nNo less than 2 years as a U.S. Navy Port Engineer\nPerformance metrics consistently above average\nProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or can be obtained within 9 months of employment\nDemonstrated organizational skills, initiative, and ability to work independently\nExcellent communication skills\n\nQualifications:\nMust possess a valid Driver’s License\nMust have reliable transportation to and from various work locations\nMust maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor and manager when not in the office.
