This role is responsible for performing environmental monitoring, microbiological testing, data documentation, and quality support activities within a regulated biologics manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have experience in GMP microbiology, aseptic technique, and environmental monitoring, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data integrity and compliance.Job DetailsLocation: Gaithersburg, MDShift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmContract Type: 6 month contract (could be extended or renewed depending on business needs)Travel: may need to travel from site to site (1 mile or so of each other), so reliable transportation is requiredPay Range: Approx. $28-$42/hour depending on experienceIndustry: Biopharmaceuticals / Biotechnology / GMP ManufacturingKey ResponsibilitiesPerform viable and non-viable environmental monitoring in GMP manufacturing areasConduct water sampling and microbiological testing activitiesPerform aseptic testing, bioburden testing, TOC sampling, and microbial identificationSupport particulate profiling and growth promotion testingAccurately complete GMP documentation and data entry in compliance with ALCOA++ principlesReview laboratory data for completeness and accuracySupport laboratory investigations and troubleshooting activitiesAssist with SOP review, revisions, and continuous improvement initiativesPerform routine maintenance, calibration, and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipmentCollaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Maintenance teamsSupport operational schedules, including occasional off-hours or weekend work as needed QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related scientific field preferredOR equivalent laboratory experience in a GMP environment1-4 years of QC microbiology or environmental monitoring experiencePrior GMP experience requiredExperience with aseptic technique and cleanroom operationsStrong documentation and data integrity skills PreferredExperience in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturingFamiliarity with environmental monitoring programs and systemsExperience with microbial identification and laboratory investigations Top SkillsEnvironmental Monitoring (EM)GMP QC MicrobiologyAseptic Technique & Cleanroom Support#P1
