Continuous Improvement Process Engineer
Job Description: A Continuous Improvement Process Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing or business processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase quality. This role typically uses methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving to drive operational excellence.Key Responsibilities• Identify opportunities for process improvement in production or operations• Identify opportunities for cost savings• Lead and support Lean / Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and variation• Analyze workflows, cycle times, and performance metrics• Develop and implement process improvements and standard operating procedures (SOPs)• Conduct root cause analysis using tools like Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, and Pareto analysis• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance, supply chain)• Train employees on continuous improvement methodologies• Monitor KPIs and track improvement results• Support automation and digital transformation initiatives when applicableRequired Skills• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles• Data analysis and problem-solving skills• Familiarity with process mapping tools (Value Stream Mapping, flowcharts)• Proficiency in software such as Excel, Minitab, or other statistical tools• Good communication and teamwork abilities• Project management skillsQualifications• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field)• 2-5+ years of experience in process improvement, manufacturing, or operations• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)Preferred Experience• Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or production environments• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)• Experience with automation or Industry 4.0 technologiesTypical Work Environment• Manufacturing plants or industrial facilities• Office and production floor combination• May require occasional travelKey Goals• Increase efficiency and productivity• Reduce costs and waste• Improve product quality and consistency
