In this position, you will be responsible for bridging software development, engineering, and management to optimize and accelerate the software development process. The role involves introducing processes, tools, and methodologies to balance the needs throughout the software development life cycle, covering activities from coding and deployment to maintenance and updates within a cloud computing environment.\nYou will be happy to know that this is a remote position.\nResponsibilities:\nImplement processes, tools, and methodologies to streamline and accelerate the software development life cycle.\nChampion DevOps practices and principles to enhance collaboration between development and operations teams.\nDesign, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software deployment.\nUtilize Infrastructure as Code principles to automate and manage cloud infrastructure.\nImplement automation scripts and tools to enhance the efficiency of deployment, maintenance, and updates.\nCollaborate with development, operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps practices.\nEstablish monitoring processes and tools to track system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize cloud resources.\nIncorporate security practices into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring secure and compliant software development.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in a related field.\nUS Citizen with the ability to pass a background check\nMore than five (5) years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture and computing.\nIn-depth understanding of DevOps practices, principles, and methodologies.\nCI/CD Implementation: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.\nInfrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools.\nProficient in scripting and automation tools to improve deployment, maintenance, and update processes.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.\nExperience in establishing monitoring processes and tools to optimize cloud resource usage.\nKnowledge of incorporating security practices into the DevOps pipeline to ensure secure software development.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster's degree in a relevant field\nCompensation:\nAt GTech, we believe in treating every person the way we want to be treated - fairly.
