Electrical Engineer, Meta Neural Band

As a Hardware Electrical Engineer at Meta, you will design, develop, and integrate electrical systems for a wide range of applications, from next-generation consumer hardware to large-scale infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including mechanical, optical, firmware, software, and manufacturing experts-to deliver impactful solutions. Your work may span the full product or system lifecycle, from early prototyping and feasibility studies to large-scale deployment. You will be part of an environment that values technical development, rapid iteration, and creative problem-solving.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field, and/or equivalent practical experience2+ years of experience in electrical design or a relevant technical fieldProven knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and circuit and/or system designExperience with schematic and board design using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cadence OrCAD, Altium)Hands-on experience with lab equipment and debugging/automating hardwareExperience working with at least one of the following: digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, camera modules, mobile SoC/PMIC, or battery management systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with biosensor analog front-ends (PPG, EMG, ECG, IMU) including signal integrity, noise floor characterization, and sensor coexistence mitigationM.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and/or a related fieldExperience with hardware bring-up automation, stress rack / soak testing, and factory test developmentExperience in adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Experience working with Asia-based ODMs/CMs -- vendor management, in-region build support, and remote bring-up coordinationExperience with flex PCB design, band/strap mechanical-electrical integration, and connector/contact reliabilityExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Experience with mixed-signal SoC bring-up, sensor fusion, and firmware/HW co-debuggingExperience with low-power wireless subsystems (BLE, Wi-Fi) -- antenna integration, RF coexistence, and regulatory certificationDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesExperience taking a consumer electronics product through the full NPI lifecycle (EVT/DVT/PVT/PROD) at high volume in mass productionExperience with PMIC architecture, battery/fuel-gauge integration, and ultra-low-power design for small form-factor consumer wearablesDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and validate electrical subsystems or simple systems for Meta's hardware products, with increasing independenceCreate schematics, direct board layout, and participate in design reviewsDocument requirements, specifications, and test criteria for modules and systemsConduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate new technologies and componentsSupport manufacturing builds, hardware bring-up, and troubleshooting activitiesCollaborate across engineering disciplines (mechanical, firmware, software, etc.) to deliver integrated solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve electrical performance and reliability issuesDemonstrate sustained productivity and ownership of assigned areasBuild collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and contribute to team-level goalsParticipate in process improvement, knowledge sharing, and organizational activities as appropriateAbout MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses. When Facebook launched in 2004, it changed the way people connect. Apps like Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp further empowered billions around the world. Now, Meta is moving beyond 2D screens toward immersive experiences like augmented and virtual reality to help build the next evolution in social technology. People who choose to build their careers by building with us at Meta help shape a future that will take us beyond what digital connection makes possible today-beyond the constraints of screens, the limits of distance, and even the rules of physics.Equal Employment OpportunityMeta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
