This is an opportunity to apply modern automation practices to products that directly support patient care in a regulated environment.\r\nThe role is based in Wroclaw or Lviv, as it requires periodic access to engineering labs and hands-on work with physical medical devices.\r\nResponsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Python and Pytest\r\nCreate and execute automated tests for embedded software, medical devices, and hardware-software integrated systems\r\nValidate device functionality, communication interfaces, APIs, databases, and end-to-end system workflows\r\nPerform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and support system verification and validation activities\r\nInvestigate test failures, analyze device logs, and troubleshoot hardware-software integration issues\r\nEnhance test automation infrastructure, improve execution efficiency, and expand test coverage\r\nCollaborate with software engineers, QA teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure product quality and compliance\r\nTrack, verify, and report defects, test results, and quality metrics\r\nParticipate in regular communication with US-based customer teams\r\nRequirements 2–4 years in test automation, including development and maintenance of frameworks using Python and Pytest\r\nBackground testing embedded software, medical devices, or hardware-software integrated systems\r\nHands-on work with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and system-level verification activities\r\nUnderstanding of embedded software, firmware, device drivers, and hardware-software interactions\r\nKnowledge of communication interfaces such as USB, RS-232, and TCP/IP\r\nStrong understanding of system, integration, verification, and validation testing methodologies\r\nFamiliarity with REST API testing, backend services, and SQL databases\r\nProficiency with Git and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps\r\nSkilled in log analysis, test failure investigation, and integration troubleshooting\r\nUnderstanding of software verification processes within regulated environments\r\nKnowledge of Qt/Squish for desktop application test automation (is a plus)\r\nSoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
