One person, one GPU.\n\nIf you'd like to build the world's best AI cloud, join us.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nPerform site walkdowns to verify installed electrical systems against approved designs, single-line diagrams, specifications, submittals, and Lambda standards.\n\nValidate equipment ratings, protection settings, phasing, grounding and bonding, terminations, labeling, redundancy, and electrical failure domains.\n\nIdentify installation deficiencies, design conflicts, and operational risks; document punch-list items and drive them through closure.\n\nReview construction test results and witness factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, functional testing, and integrated systems testing.\n\nDevelop and review energization plans, MOPs, SOPs, EOPs, switching procedures, and electrical safety controls.\n\nSupport initial energization and troubleshoot issues involving substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, busway, PDUs, RPPs, and rack-level distribution.\n\nCoordinate with design engineers, engineering partners, utilities, general contractors, electrical trades, equipment manufacturers, commissioning agents, operations, and HPC deployment teams.\n\nConfirm that electrical capacity, voltage, redundancy, monitoring, and protection are ready before IT equipment is energized.\n\nValidate as-built documentation, equipment settings, test reports, commissioning records, and turnover packages before operational handoff.\n\nCapture field lessons and incorporate them into Lambda’s design standards, commissioning requirements, and site-validation playbooks.\n\nMentor other engineers and provide senior technical leadership during high-risk energization and bring-up activities.\n\nYou\n\nHave significant experience delivering, commissioning, or operating electrical systems in data centers, mission-critical facilities, utilities, or large industrial environments.\n\nUnderstand both medium- and low-voltage distribution, including transformers, switchgear, protective relays, generators, UPS systems, busway, grounding, and rack-level power.\n\nCan interpret single-line diagrams, equipment submittals, protection studies, relay settings, test reports, and construction documentation.\n\nHave hands-on experience with site inspections, electrical testing, energization, commissioning, or operational turnover.\n\nUnderstand electrical safety, lockout/tagout, energized work controls, and applicable NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, and NETA requirements.\n\nCan distinguish between cosmetic deficiencies and conditions that create material safety, reliability, or operational risk.\n\nAre comfortable making decisions in the field, escalating critical issues, and coordinating corrective work under schedule pressure.\n\nCommunicate clearly with construction teams, engineers, vendors, operators, and senior stakeholders.\n\nAre willing to travel extensively and spend extended periods at active construction and commissioning sites.\n\nHold a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent practical experience.\n\nNice to Have\n\nExperience commissioning hyperscale, colocation, HPC, or AI data centers.\n\nExperience supporting first energization and initial IT-load or GPU-cluster bring-up.\n\nFamiliarity with Level 1–5 commissioning, integrated systems testing, and operational-readiness processes.\n\nExperience with protective-relay testing, breaker testing, insulation-resistance testing, power-quality analysis, or infrared inspections.\n\nExperience using tools such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, Procore, Bluebeam, or commissioning-management platforms.\n\nExperience investigating electrical failures and leading root-cause analysis.\n\nProfessional Engineer licensure, commissioning certification, or NETA-related experience.\n\nSalary Range Information\n\nThe annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors.
