Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Neurosurgery and ENT unit position requiring a NC or compact RN license and a minimum of one year of nursing experience.Job Details• 18-bed acute care unit specializing in post-operative Neurosurgery and ENT patients,• Neurosurgery cases include brain and spinal surgeries, traumas, cancer, stroke, and intracranial bleeds,• ENT cases include head and neck malignancies, cancer, infection, and surgeries involving the head, mouth, tongue, jaw, thyroid, and oropharynx,• Patient ratio of 1:5,• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week),• Every other weekend (EOW) required,• Every other holiday (EOH) required,• No on-call responsibilities,• Charge nurse responsibilities required as needed (training provided),Job Requirements• Active RN license in North Carolina (NC license or compact RN license currently in hand),• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC,• Current NIHSS certification,• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience,• Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school (BSN or MSN preferred),• Two professional references required for consideration,Additional Information• Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation,• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update patient care plans,• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required,• Assess and address discharge planning needs for patients and families,• BSN or MSN is preferred but not required
