Strategic Small Business Sourcer - Federal Projects
We are seeking a Strategic Small Business Sourcer to build and develop a high-impact supplier network supporting complex federal projects across infrastructure, energy, and mission-critical environments.This is not a traditional procurement role. This position focuses on proactively identifying, qualifying, and positioning small business partners to strengthen competitive advantage in federal pursuits.Key Responsibilities:Develop a pipeline of small business suppliers aligned to project scopes and geographiesIdentify and qualify partners across construction, engineering, and technical tradesTranslate project requirements into supplier capabilitiesPartner with proposal teams to support active pursuitsEnsure supplier readiness for both proposal and execution phasesMaintain supplier data, performance insights, and market intelligenceQualifications:5-10 years in sourcing, procurement, supplier development, or federal contractingExperience working with small business programs (SB, SDB, WOSB, HUBZone, SDVOSB)Ability to interpret SOWs and align suppliers accordinglyStrong Excel and data tracking skillsExperience in federal, construction, or technical project environments preferredWhat We're Looking For:A proactive "builder" who can develop supplier networks, not just manage themStrong relationship-builder with a focus on long-term partnershipsAbility to operate with speed and structure in a fast-paced environmentAdditional Details:Location: On-site (Tysons Corner, VA area preferred)Travel: Up to 15%Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
