Quality Control Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead quality operations within a product refurbishment and repair environment. This role is responsible for overseeing inspection processes, managing quality teams, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring products meet established quality standards and customer expectations.The ideal candidate will possess strong quality management experience, expertise in process auditing, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and quality system development. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams, third-party service providers, and customers to maintain and improve product quality performance.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Operations ManagementLead and oversee quality assurance activities across refurbishment, repair, inspection, and testing operations.Establish, maintain, and improve quality processes, procedures, and inspection standards.Develop and implement inbound, in-process, and outbound quality inspection programs.Monitor quality KPIs and drive corrective actions to improve overall product quality.Coordinate quality reviews and performance assessments with internal and external stakeholders.Vendor & Supplier Quality ManagementPartner with third-party repair and service providers to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational requirements.Conduct vendor performance reviews and quality audits.Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.Monitor supplier quality performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.Team LeadershipSupervise and support quality inspectors and quality team members.Establish performance objectives and monitor team productivity.Assist with staffing, onboarding, training, and performance management activities.Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.Auditing & ComplianceConduct internal and external process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and operational procedures.Support quality system audits and certification activities.Maintain documentation related to inspections, audits, corrective actions, and quality performance.Ensure process controls remain effective and properly documented.Customer & Stakeholder SupportServe as a key point of contact for quality-related customer concerns and escalations.Coordinate investigations involving product returns, field failures, and customer-reported issues.Collaborate with engineering, operations, service providers, and business teams to resolve quality concerns.Provide technical quality reports and recommendations to leadership.Reporting & AnalysisPrepare and present weekly and monthly quality performance reports.Analyze quality metrics, trends, defects, and failure data.Develop dashboards, scorecards, charts, and executive-level reporting.Drive data-based decisions to improve quality performance and operational efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred.Minimum 4+ years of quality assurance, quality control, quality engineering, or quality operations experience.Experience leading quality programs within manufacturing, refurbishment, repair, electronics, or related environments.Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, and corrective action methodologies.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting product refurbishment, repair, electronics, wireless devices, or consumer technology products.Experience supporting ISO-based quality systems and certification audits.Six Sigma, Lean, Quality Engineering, or related certifications.Experience managing supplier quality and third-party service providers.Technical SkillsRequiredANSI/ASQC Z1.4 StandardsStatistical Process Control (SPC)Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Root Cause AnalysisCorrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)Process AuditingQuality Reporting & AnalyticsMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft WordMicrosoft PowerPointPreferredISO 9000 / ISO Quality SystemsSix Sigma MethodologiesQuality Management Systems (QMS)Audit Management ToolsKey CompetenciesLeadership and Team DevelopmentVendor Quality ManagementProcess ImprovementQuality Systems ManagementCustomer Issue ResolutionData Analysis and ReportingTechnical DocumentationContinuous ImprovementCross-Functional CollaborationAttention to DetailAdditional InformationAbility to travel domestically up to 20%.Ability to work in a dynamic operational environment supporting inspection, testing, repair, and quality activities.Ability to lift materials and equipment as required while following established safety procedures.
