Job Summary JOB DESCRIPTION The BDO Alliance USA, a subsidiary of BDO USA, P.C., is a nationwide association of independently owned local and regional accounting, consulting, and service firms with similar client service goals. It is the largest association of accounting and professional services firms in the U.S. and among the industry’s largest in the world.The Alliance Communities and Virtual Events Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating, in conjunction with the Director of Client Experience, all on-line Alliance communities and virtual events.Job DutiesSupports the strategy and overall approach for the portfolio of Alliance Communities and virtual events (roundtables, summits, etc.) by aligning with Alliance team members and Alliance leadershipCoordinates, tracks, and confirms virtual events, including logistics management and collaboration with subject matter hosts to ensure quality and timelinessHosts and facilitates virtual events, as applicable, to encourage discussion, engagement, and information sharingLeads portfolio evaluation and continuous improvement efforts by assessing current offerings, recommending new programs, sunsetting outdated programs, and managing the annual roundtable survey process to improve the overall member experienceManages Community operations and participant support by coordinating Community information, maintaining physical and electronic documentation, connecting resources and best practices across groups, and providing responsive customer support to Alliance firms and BDO participantsSupports program administration and cross-functional collaboration by assisting with expenses and attendee fee tracking, partnering with Alliance Operations, Alliance Digital Assets, and Alliance Learning and Development teams, supporting the Director of Client Experience, and attending and preparing for the Alliance ConferenceOther duties as requiredEducation/ExperienceQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) or more years of relevant experience in client service, community, and/or event management, requiredExperience with facilitation and group engagement leadership, requiredExperience working in virtual live environments, requiredExperience working in a professional services/public accounting firm, preferredLicense/CertificationsN/ASoftwareProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel, as well as Outlook (for scheduling), requiredExperience working with MS Teams, Webex or other virtual hosting environments, requiredLanguageN/AOther Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work with all levels of executives and leaders comfortably and confidentlyAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects/tasks with attention to detailAbility to relate effectively to all levels of employeesAbility to perform various tasks simultaneouslyAbility to build strong relationships with alliance members, and BDO professionalsAbility to work effectively in a Remote Work scenarioIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $100,000 - $125,000Maryland Range: $100,000 - $125,000NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $125,000About UsJoin us at BDO, where you will find more than a career, you’ll find a place where your work is impactful, and you are valued for your individuality.
