You will work from engineering documentation, assembly drawings and work instructions, alongside experienced technicians and a team lead. On-the-job training is provided.\n\nThis is bench and floor work in a manufacturing environment, not a desk job. Expect to be on your feet for a meaningful part of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs, and moving between harness build, cabling components into a test rack, and setting up test equipment as priorities change. If you want to be handed one task and left alone with it for a month, this is not that seat.\n\nYou do not need to arrive IPC-A-620 certified, but you do need to have built harnesses and cable assemblies before, and be able to read an engineering drawing without someone walking you through it. Work is built to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 standards.\n\nThis role is subject to ITAR. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (green card holder).\n\nPAY AND SCHEDULE\n\n$25.00 per hour. Three-month contract, mid-September through mid-December 2026. Two openings, 100% on site in Easthampton, MA.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\n\nBuild cable assemblies and wire harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 2 standards\n\nConnect component wires to circuits and route wiring between individual component leads\n\nWork from circuit diagrams, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and written or verbal work instructions\n\nAssemble test fixtures, and install and cable components within a test rack\n\nSet up and use a variety of test equipment to verify completed assemblies\n\nSupport printed circuit board (PCB) assembly work as needed\n\nMaintain inventory, organization and upkeep of company tools and job materials\n\nKeep a clean, safe and organized work area\n\nWHAT YOU NEED\n\nHands-on experience building wire harnesses and cable assemblies\n\nAble to read and work from engineering drawings and assembly documentation\n\nComfortable with soldering, crimping and hand tools at the bench\n\nDetail oriented and organized\n\nStrong verbal communication skills\n\nMechanical aptitude\n\nAble to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for portions of the shift\n\nU.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (ITAR requirement)\n\nNICE TO HAVE\n\nIPC-A-620 certification\n\nExperience assembling printed circuit boards (PCBs)\n\nPrior work in a regulated manufacturing environment such as aerospace, defense or medical device\n\nExperience building or cabling test racks, test fixtures or test equipment\n\nWe are moving quickly on this one.
