Design Consultant/Sales
Summary:
The Design Consultant shall be responsible for working with retail customers and builders on countertop, backsplash and flooring sales, providing administrative support to the Design Team and Management Team in our showroom. Build your own customer base. With advancement opportunities to learn cabinet design and renovation sales.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for greeting customers, vendors and clients as they enter the building.
Responsible for inquiries from callers/guests, and taking and relaying messages.
Maintain appointment log, and schedule appointments.
Monitor and maintain office equipment, and maintain tidy reception area.
Responsible for handling a wide variety of situations and conflicts involving the administrative function of the location.
Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
Prepare routine and advanced correspondence including letters, estimates, and reports.
Provide customers with estimates.
Follow up on estimates in a timely manner.
Perform other clerical work as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor Degree in Administration or related field such as Sales or Business, and two years of related work experience; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of related work experience are required for this position.
Prior experience in a sales field or office environment.
Possession of a valid state driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be customer service driven, as you may be the first contact individuals make with our company.
Must be a self-starter and have a desire to produce quality work.
Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.
Must have advanced computer skills to conduct internet research and perform data entry.
Proficient in data entry, Google Suites, Microsoft Outlook, Word and EXCEL.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment consisting of a diverse population.

Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

Monday Through Friday 9 am - 5 pm rotating 1 day off during the week
Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
