Ox & Olive (Georgetown, DC) – A Hive Hospitality Concept Ox & Olive, a new high-end steakhouse located in the heart of Georgetown, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our opening team. A concept by Hive Hospitality, Ox & Olive is dedicated to showcasing unique, single-origin cuts of beef sourced globally, paired with an exceptional dining experience. The Line Cook will be responsible for executing daily kitchen station duties, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency are met, with a particular focus on preparing and cooking our core product: the steak. Key Responsibilities Preparation and Cooking: Execute the precise handling, preparation, and cooking of all food products, including strict adherence to specifications for unique cuts of beef. Quality & Consistency: Maintain rigorous control over all food portions, presentation, and preparation techniques to uphold the restaurant’s high standards. Station Management: Efficiently prepare, set up, and maintain a clean, organized, and stocked station for all service periods. Kitchen Support: Adhere to all guidelines for sanitation control, safety standards, and inventory best practices, assisting the culinary leadership team as directed. Service Execution: Work efficiently on the line during service and maintain clear communication with the back and front of house teams to ensure timely and accurate dish delivery. Qualifications Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fine dining or high-volume steakhouse environment. Demonstrated proficiency in high-volume cooking and preparation, especially with premium proteins and meat cooking. Strong communication and organizational skills.
