Front of House Shift Supervisor

Rusty Rail Brewing Company is hiring a Front of House Shift Supervisor. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for orchestrating exceptional food service, what we consider to be unbeatable customer service and operations. You'll manage the dining room-including servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and food runners-by directing and motivating your team to deliver casual fine dining food and provide customer service that elicits genuine smiles from our customers. We strive to create an experience that is unique to our establishment and combines exceptional food quality, unrivalled customer service, and an extraordinary ambiance.Job ResponsibilitiesManage and motivate employees through constant communication during serviceEnsure guests are always receiving exceptional customer serviceMonitor food quality as it moves from the kitchen to the dining room; ensure that food is prepared and served in the appropriate quantity and with the utmost qualityEnsure operations are in accordance with sanitation and safety standardsStart-up and shut-down of restaurant equipment and processes (opening/closing shifts)Jump in to assist all FOH positions during peak hours of operationPerform administrative duties including required shift reports, both written and using the POS systemJob RequirementsOur ideal shift supervisors possess the following:A high school diploma; associate degree in culinary studies or food and hospitality management is preferredAt least 2 years of experience in restaurant supervision or management; full-service and fine dining a plusBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Point of Sale systems (Toast)Ability to be on one's feet at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.Strong written and verbal communication skills-clear and professional demeanorAbility to multi-task, organize, and prioritize efficientlyA personable, friendly, and outgoing personality-must enjoy interacting with, motivating, and and assisting othersSincerity, honesty, and candidness with team members and customers alikeA belief that no one is "above" any job-it takes a team to make a shift run smoothlyInitiative, drive, and a self-starting work ethicAbility to lead, motivate, and manage employeesA love for the restaurant business and desire to create "Best In Class" guest experience
