Directs training systems for Agency. Provides onsite, support, training and supervision to the Agency’s day and residential programs.\n\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.\nDevelops, evaluates, and coordinates training programs/systems for the Agency.\nAssist the Agency’s Administrative and Executive Team in maintaining/training on the Agency’s electronic records system.\nComplete schedule quality service checks for all systems and programs.\nEnsure all Agency, state, and federal training requirements are met for all employees.\nInteracts with individuals, employees, and families to ensure quality services are being provide and identify opportunities for improvement.\nAssist with developing and planning methods of instruction and techniques for achieving individual client goals, as identified by the annual assessment.\nAssist management and supervisory staff in developing community/recreation opportunities/activities for the individuals we support.\nProvide on-call support to the Agency’s residential programs (to include medical appointments).\nAssist with implementing managing the Agency’s scheduling software.\nAssist with ensuring uniform residential/program systems are in place.\nParticipate in comprehensive service plans for individuals of served by the Agency.\nWork with Agency and outside medical professionals to ensure Agency personnel are ensuring the health needs of the individuals we support are being met.\nAssist and participate in all Agency licensing and quality service reviews.\nCompletes all required documentation and reports in accordance with Agency requirements.\nMonitor and report all incidents or allegations of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, harassment, or threats of injury made by any client, staff member, visitor, other agency personnel, or family member.\nProvide emergency coverage for Agency programs, as needed.\nTo assist, teach, and supervise the clients in all aspects of daily living activities and with individual client goals.\nEffectively and promptly handle day-to-day issues that arise following Agency and DDS policy and procedures.\nProvide information to the Quality Service Director regarding client, staffing, personnel, consultant, and residential concerns.\nMaintain all required certifications (i.e., medication administration) and trainings to effectively perform job duties.\nPerform any other duties as assigned.\n\nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:\nAssist with onboarding of new employees.\nProvide training to supervisors of the Agency.\nTrain all employees in protection of client’s rights and ensure all staff complete and attend required trainings for their job duties.\nPlan and organize programs to train staff in implementing programs, and daily living activities with the clients.\n\nTEAMWORK:\nAttend required staff meetings and actively participate in in-services and trainings.\nWork cooperatively with Agency administrative personnel, consultants, families, and other agencies in providing and implementing individual client goals.\nWork cooperatively with supervisory and other staff within the Agency and those from other agencies.\nCommunicates effectively, professionally, and respectfully to all clients, Agency, DDS, community, and outside Agency personnel.\nRequirements:\nCOMPETENCIES:\nSuccessful completion of Medication Certification program\nSuccessful completion of PMT, CPR and First Aide training program\nValid CT drivers license with a satisfactory driving record\nMaintenance of all required certifications and trainings to effectively perform job duties\n\nQUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must be able to work on a flexible rotating schedule.\n\nEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\nAssociate Degree in the Human Service or related field and/or a minimum of two years experience supervising programs or services for individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or medical issues; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n.\nLANGUAGE SKILLS:\nAbility to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions, medical reports and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, families, regulatory agencies, and other employees.\n\nMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Able to interpret data and to develop and interpret graphs.\n\nREASONING ABILITY:\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
