Our employees are forward-thinking, self-directed individuals who are committed to solving our customers’ technical challenges.\n\nSSI is seekinga Project Engineer for a role in El Segundo, CA.\n\nRole and Responsibilities\n\nAssist the Government with management of multiple simultaneous projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.\n\nFacilitate development of plans, requirements, and documentation to define project tasks, including objectives, scope, and milestones, in coordination with stakeholders.\n\nSupport the government with coordination and management of security activities across the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) for integrated analysis.\n\nManage contractor task allocations, maintaining records of assignments, progress, and completion.\n\nMonitor analysis efforts across multiple contractor-led developments, tracking task execution and progress, ensuring adherence to established timelines and standards.\n\nProvide updates on project execution, milestones, delays, risks, and mitigation strategies.\n\nTrack deliverables and ensure they go through appropriate review and approval processes.\n\nEstablish, maintain, and ensure accountability for project deadlines.\n\nProduce recommendations to enhance and optimize project execution.\n\nPlan, coordinate, and lead project update meetings for senior leadership.\n\nSchedule, organize, and facilitate reviews and meetings.\n\nCoordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor’s degree in a STEM program with 14 years of experience.\n\n10+ years in a program management role, or 5+ years in a space engineering role with 5+ additional years in a program management role.\n\nManaging multiple contractors and customers, including engagement with Government SETA/FFRDC/UARC support.\n\nClassified space programs, preferably both at the Top Secret and compartmented access to inform integrated analysis, effectiveness, and utility.\n\nDevelopment and presentations to O-6 and above Govt leadership, decision quality briefings, and papers.\n\nProblem-solving/critical thinking in complex and dynamic environments.\n\nCollaborating with IC professionals and understanding IC tasking mechanisms.\n\nOuter space environment, spacecraft operations, counterspace threats, space control systems.\n\nMust have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility, and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).\n\nMinimum Requirement is a TS/SCI clearance and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.\n\nTravel is 25%.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience with spacecraft engineering and design, orbital dynamics, statistical experiment design, data analysis, modeling and simulation, analytics, information system infrastructure configuration, cost/schedule analysis, weaponeering, wargaming, artificial neural networks and machine learning, MBSE, computer programming, and data governance.\n\nEstablished relationships with the following organizations:\n\nCOCOMS (INDOPACOM, USSPACECOM, etc.).\n\nSpace Intelligence Community Organizations (IC).\n\nDefense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).\n\nSpace Rapid Capabilities Program Office (SpRCO).\n\nAir Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).\n\nPentagon & Headquarters Staff (AQ, SQ, J-Dirs, GOs, PSMs, PEMs, etc.)\n\nProfessional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, ITEA CTEP, Agile PM/PO, etc.).\n\nSalary\n$190,000 - $215,000 a year\n\nTarget salary range: $190,000 - $215,000.
