R&D Operations Program Manager
The R&D Operations Program Manager plays a critical role in enabling efficient, high‑quality execution across Omnicell’s R&D organization. This role blends operational program management with select technical project management responsibilities, supporting R&D delivery, quality processes, and cross‑functional alignment. The position partners closely with R&D, Quality, Product Management, Growth, Procurement, Finance, HR, and Legal to drive programs that improve execution, compliance, and outcomes.This is a hands‑on role suited for a self‑starter who can operate with minimal supervision, manage ambiguity, and drive initiatives from concept through execution.ResponsibilitiesOwn intake, prioritization, and execution of R&D operational programs and initiatives.Program manage requests from initiation through closure, acting as a liaison between stakeholders and approvers.Manage interdependencies across programs; identify risks, impacts, and mitigation plans.Establish, document, and continuously improve R&D operational processes and best practices.Maintain key R&D operational content, tools, and documentation (e.g., intranet, Confluence, process artifacts).Support continuous improvement initiatives related to R&D quality processes, metrics, and readiness.Hybrid role to support technical aspects including:Support execution of complex, cross functional R&D programs that may span hardware, software, and systems development.Develop and maintain integrated plans, timelines, dependencies, and high level resource forecasts.Identify technical, regulatory, and operational risks early and drive mitigation and recovery plans.Ensure alignment with product strategy, regulatory expectations, and business outcomes.Required Knowledge & SkillsSelf-starting individual that needs minimum supervision.Demonstrated experience driving operational programs/initiatives to successful completion.Strong operational excellence focus – Manages activities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of processes with ability to juggle multiple projects, tasks, and competing deadlines.Strategic thinking – Uses knowledge of company business and engineering ops strategies to guide recommendations and decision-making.Ability to establish, maintain and improve relationships with team members across multiple cross-functions and office locations.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business or a related field of study.8+ years of experience in operations, project management and administration, for technical teams in start-ups and established companies.New process/technology introduction experience.Experience/understanding of various Agile practices/frameworks.Preferred Qualifications10+ years of work experienceProject Management Certification preferredExperience with/in:Agile tools such as JIRAService Now experienceTechnology SaaS - Cloud computing, data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence technologiesWork ConditionsWork from home/remote work environmentAbility to travel up to 10% (could be subject to change)
