Working with all levels of the organization, this individual will develop machining concepts for new parts and aid in the continuous improvement activities for legacy product.\n\nJob Duties\nAssist other Engineering personnel in coming up with the best possible machining sequence to produce a given part with the highest quality in the least amount of time.\nCreate CNC programs for Milling and Turning using Mastercam software in consultation with the Product Engineer.\nAssist Tool Design in developing work-holding and gaging concepts for each manufacturing process operation.\nWork with Manufacturing and Engineering to ensure 100% buy-in to proposed CNC programs.\nProvide accurate CNC programs with all accompanying documentation (Tool / Setup Sheet).\nWork with Tool Crib personnel to ensure all cutting tools meet the original design intent.\nAssist manufacturing on the floor (at the machine) with the setup and debugging of CNC programs.\nAggressively seek to improve cycle time by continuous improvement in CNC code created and cutting tools utilized.\nParticipate in cross-functional manufacturing reviews helping to resolve issues and institute improvements as opportunities arise.\nSpend time on the floor with manufacturing assisting the operators with program modifications and suggestions when requested and listening to operator’s ideas.\nRequired Skills\nExperience with Mastercam 3D CAD/CAM software.\nExperience with Esprit CAM is a plus.\nKnowledge of Simultaneous or (3 + 2) 5 Axis programming.\nHands-on machining knowledge in typical Aerospace materials (Inconel, Titanium, Stainless Steel).\nDeep knowledge and understanding of machining speeds/feeds required for common super abrasive alloys.\nUnderstanding of current cutting tool technology and its proper application.\nCutting Tool design knowledge.\nStrong print reading ability with a thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GDT).\nExperience with Microsoft Office and other commonly used PC products.\nFlexibility in working with others in a challenging, fast paced job shop environment.\nEducation / Experience\nA minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience preferably in a precision machining environment.\nImportant Requirements\n\nMoeller Aerospace is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
