This role will work closely with business analysts, process owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable platform solutions that improve workflow efficiency, user experience, security, and operational performance.\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead the design and architecture of scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned with business objectives, ITIL practices, platform standards, and long-term maintainability.\nPartner with business analysts, process owners, and IT teams to deliver high-quality ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform enhancements.\nOwn technical design decisions and provide recommendations that balance business needs, platform scalability, security, maintainability, and long-term supportability.\nAnalyze requirements, configure and enhance new and existing applications, and create custom UI pages, widgets, workflows, and automation.\nBuild and manage Service Catalogs, support accurate CMDB data, and implement IT Operations Management solutions across ITSM, ITOM, SecOps, CSM, SPM, SAM, and related modules.\nCreate and maintain custom applications, Service Catalog items, fulfillment workflows, self-service portals, and related platform components.\nMonitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize ServiceNow performance while supporting security and compliance requirements.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, support testing plans, troubleshoot defects, and help ensure application quality.\nProvide technical guidance to development team members and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.\nImplement SecOps modules, support IT operations automation using AIOps and monitoring integrations, and deliver solutions that meet customer and business needs.\nStay current with ServiceNow capabilities, emerging technologies, and platform best practices to support innovation and operational excellence.\nLead solution architecture, technical design, and platform roadmap recommendations for ServiceNow initiatives.\nDefine and document technical architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and solution designs.\nEvaluate requests for platform fit, scalability, maintainability, security, and alignment with ServiceNow best practices.\nLead design reviews and provide platform governance to help ensure solutions avoid unnecessary customization and reduce technical debt.\nSupport integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, or other integration tools.\nProvide guidance on platform upgrades, release planning, technical debt reduction, and long-term maintainability.\nSupport work in alignment with internal standards, security expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\n\nMust be currently authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.\n3 or more years of recent experience in an IT Architect role.\n6 or more years of IT experience working with ServiceNow configuration, scripting, and development.\nExperience with ServiceNow modules and capabilities such as ITSM, ITOM, GRC/IRM, SecOps, CSM, SPM, SAM, CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and Service Mapping.\nProficiency working with ITIL frameworks, automation, and cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.\nProven experience designing and implementing ITOM solutions.\nExperience designing ServiceNow solutions in a complex enterprise environment with multiple stakeholder groups, integrations, and governance requirements.\nExperience leading ServiceNow architecture and solution design efforts, not only configuration and development work.\nStrong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, data model, ACLs/security, workflows, Flow Designer, integrations, CMDB, and CSDM concepts.\nExperience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, or similar technologies.\nExperience with ServiceNow governance, platform standards, upgrade planning, release management, and technical debt reduction.\nAbility to create solution design documents, technical specifications, architecture diagrams, process flows, and implementation guidance.\nProfessional-level English verbal and written communication skills required.\nProven ability to influence internal stakeholders and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.\nPreferred:\n\nProven ServiceNow Architect who is comfortable working onsite and open to future regular full-time employment opportunities, if available.\nServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.\nServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.\nServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification in ITSM, ITOM, or a related module.\nServiceNow Certified Technical Architect certification is a strong plus.\nBelcan is an equal opportunity employer.
