This role is for someone who wants to take real ownership, move quickly, and build systems that matter.\n\nRole Description\n\nYou’ll work closely with the founders and early engineers to build core product systems from the ground up.\n\nBuild and ship backend systems (APIs, services, data models)\n\nDevelop AI-powered workflows that replace manual operations\n\nIntegrate with external systems (carrier tools, documents, communication layers)\n\nBuild automation pipelines using LLMs and modern AI tooling\n\nWork on asynchronous systems (queues, workers, long-running tasks)\n\nShip quickly — from idea production in days, not months\n\nYou won’t just be handed tickets — you’ll be expected to understand problems deeply and help shape solutions.\n\nQualifications\n\n1+ years of experience building production systems\n\nStrong backend fundamentals (we use Python)\n\nComfortable working with APIs, databases, and cloud environments\n\nAbility to learn quickly and operate in a fast-moving environment\n\nExperience or strong interest in modern AI systems (LLMs, RAG, agents)\n\nSolid engineering fundamentals (debugging, data modeling, system design)\n\nGood product instincts — you care about what you’re building and why\n\nBonus:\n\nExperience with asynchronous systems (Celery, Redis, cron jobs)\n\nProduction experience with LLM-based applications or automation workflows\n\nFamiliarity with fintech, insurance, or regulated environments\n\nWe care more about how you think and learn than the exact tools you’ve used.\n\nTechnical Stack\n\nPython (Django/DRF, FastAPI), React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, AWS, Gemini/OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, Pydantic AI/LangChain, Docker\n\nYou don’t need experience with everything here, but you should be comfortable working in production systems and picking up new tools quickly.\n\nThe Team\n\nYou’d be joining the founding technical team, with direct input into what gets built and how.
