You'll work on distributed backend services, storage systems, networking, and performance optimization while collaborating closely with ML and Product Engineers to deliver production-ready AI experiences.\n\nThis role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving low-level systems problems, optimizing performance, and building infrastructure that supports millions of code analysis operations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n* Design and build high-performance distributed backend systems.\n* Develop scalable APIs and services for AI-powered code intelligence.\n* Optimize latency, concurrency, and resource utilization across production infrastructure.\n* Build reliable storage and data processing pipelines for large code repositories.\n* Improve observability through logging, monitoring, and performance diagnostics.\n* Collaborate with ML Engineers to support model serving and inference infrastructure.\n* Contribute to system architecture, reliability, and security best practices.\n\nMust-Have Skills\n\n* 4+ years of backend or systems engineering experience\n* Strong Rust, Go, C++, or Java\n* Experience building distributed systems and microservices\n* Linux systems programming and networking fundamentals\n* Strong database design (PostgreSQL or similar)\n* Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred)\n* Excellent system design and debugging skills\n* Proven ownership of production infrastructure\n\nNice to Have\n\n* Kubernetes, Docker, or container orchestration\n* High-performance computing or concurrency optimization\n* gRPC, message queues, or event-driven architecture\n* Experience supporting LLM or ML inference platforms\n* Open-source systems or developer tools background\n\nIdeal Candidate\n\nWe're looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building foundational infrastructure rather than product features.
