Location: Canton, GA, United States, 30107Company: Chart IndustriesEnsuring Chart’s Success…This is a full-time, onsite three month temporary assignment. The Buyer will work with the Supply Chain team to optimize supplier costs, quality, and delivery to gain the lowest cost through the supply chain in support of strategic plans. This role will sit in the Ball Ground, Georgia facility.What Will You Do?Research products and engage with vendors to obtain the best price with considerations of quality, reliability, and urgency of needPrepare purchase orders and place orders, including tracking back ordersParticipate in creating and implementing programs to optimize inventory turns and improve working capital performanceEnsure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory and supplier related dataImprove and maintain on-time deliveryfrom vendorsHelp identify and resolve process and system roadblocks in conjunction with manufacturing, engineering and quality to improve productivity and throughputReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyArrange for disposal of surplus materialsOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.
