We strive to provide customer service that goes above and beyond the standard.\nClick here to view our Benefits Snapshot\n\nJOB OVERVIEW\nThe Machine Operator produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a numerical computer control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.\n\nROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)\nProgramming & Setup: by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).\nPrograms mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tools, offsets, compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.\nSets-up mills and/or lathes by installing and adjusting three-jaw chucks, installing and indicating vices, fixture plates, parallels, tools, attachments, stops.\nLoads machine by lifting stock into position either into a vice, three jaw chuck or to a fixture plate/parallels.\nVerifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.\nAbility to take measurements accurately using various measurement tools; micrometers, calipers, set up and read bore gages.\nMaintains specifications by observing drilling, boring, grooving, and cutting, including turning/milling, facing, knurling and threading operations; detecting malfunctions;\ntroubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes\nMaintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.\nAdhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality assurance, and workplace conduct.\nMaintain a clean, organized work area and promote a safe work environment.\nCommunicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns related to machining.\nEnsure high-quality production with minimal rework, meeting efficiency and production goals.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n2-year associates degree is preferred but not required\n3+ years of CNC machining experience required\nAbility to read blueprints\nComputer skills are preferred\nKnowledge of machines, hand tools, and measuring equipment\nKnowledge of raw materials being used\nAbility to communicate effectively\nMust have excellent problem-solving skills\n\nPREFERRED SKILLS\nIdeal candidate will have some experience with fabrication or machining.\nPrefer to have individual to be able to read and interpret drawings.\nGood references with excellent work attendance and attitude.\nStrong mathematical and analytical skills, along with a keen sense of attention to detail Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code/M-code programming\nPrecision Measurement: Proficiency in using tools like micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)\n\nLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES\nThis position does not have any leadership responsibilities\n\nTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS\nThis position does not have any travel requirements\n\nAt Robinson, we value professionalism, expertise, and a dedication to craftsmanship.
