About the Opportunity:The Billing Specialist role is focused on managing the billing cycle for assigned clients within the Physician Services Revenue Integrity team. This position is critical in resolving billing issues and claim denials, ensuring billing accuracy, and maintaining compliance. The role supports revenue cycle management activities that impact the financial health and operational efficiency of services provided to patients.3. Responsibilities:• Resolve billing issues and claim denials requiring clinical expertise• Manage claims denial research and resolution for assigned clients• Oversee all billing cycle aspects including charges, payments, and accounts receivable performance• Meet deadlines and operational timeframes• Develop and refine processes and procedures for assigned accounts• Monitor industry trends for organizational impact• Communicate trends and resolutions to clients• Collaborate with departments to ensure billing accuracy and efficiency• Provide timely reports to management on billing issues and trends• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards• Assist with projects assigned by Operations leadership4. Requirements:• High school diploma or equivalent• 1-2 years of medical accounts receivable experience• Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and medical billing software• Understanding of full cycle revenue models• Ability to interpret medical documentation related to claims• Strong technical skills including PM/EHR software and MS Office• Ability to identify and resolve workflow trends• Preferred experience with Athena, Behavioral Health, and EPIC systems5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Pay rate starts at $18 per hour, depending on experience.6.
