This role works together with a team to achieve business objectives of safety, quality, productivity, customer service, cost, and environmental protection. The material handler works within a structure that requires strong partnership with support functions and with other team members to manage workflow.\n\nNote: This will be a 2nd shift position with working hours from 3pm to 11:30pm Monday - Friday.\n\nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:\nSafety - Ensure all EOHS requirements (Environmental Occupational Health and Safety) are met while handling materials and operating equipment.\n\nQuality - Ensure all quality systems such as Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures(SOPs) are followed during all material movements and housekeeping processes.\n\nProductivity – Work with the material handler team to ensure all material movements and SAP transactions are complete to meet production and shipping needs.\n\nLeadership – Promote teamwork to achieve all goals for the warehouse and the facility. Take initiative to identify issues and offer continuous improvement actions in safety, quality, and productivity.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES:\nMaterial movement activities including the receiving, sampling, staging of materials for production. Put-away, shipping, inventory control, housekeeping, warehousing maintenance, recycling/waste transport, problem solving, and continuous improvement.\nEOHS responsibilities include understanding and adherence to all facility requirements such as Minimum Safe Behaviors (MSBs), proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and compliance with all storage and disposal requirements.\nEquipment responsibilities include safe operation, maintenance, and site training for all powered lifts. Also responsible for racking, docks, stretch wrapping, sampling, and labeling systems.\nQuality responsibilities include receiving inspections, sampling, daily housekeeping, and cGMP/Micro compliance for all material storage.\nControl inventory via accurate physical and SAP/Warehouse Management System (WMS) tracking of the quantity and movement of every material.\nReceiving, shipping, staging, of materials; use of scanner; perform bin control, confirmations, inventory reporting/adjustments, and troubleshooting.\nPerform housekeeping protocols/audits, management of storage areas, visual workplace (VWP) continuous improvement, and driver hosting.\n\nKEY COMPETENCIES:\n\nAttention to detail with the ability to follow all procedures\nNeatly, accurately and precisely documenting tasks\nUtilize basic math skills during batch control to ensure accurate inventories of each material\nComputer skills to operate controls (such as scale interface, handheld scanner, SAP computer transactions, computer email).\nAptitude to quickly learn new relevant computer skills.\nStrong communication skills with ability to understand and assess team production performance via visual, written, and verbal communications.\nProblem solving skills to apply data-driven continuous improvement tools such as Root Cause Analyses to resolve issues and improve results.\nLeadership to take initiative for continuous improvement and act according to Managing With Respect principles.\nTeamwork to work closely with others to achieve shared goals.\n\nEDUCATION:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nEXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum of 1 year of experience in warehouse or manufacturing environment required; 2+ years strongly preferred\n\nExperience with Powered Industrial Vehicles (Forklifts, lift trucks, pallet jacks) strongly preferred\n\nExperience with safety and quality systems, preferably in a Material Handling capacity preferred\n\nDemonstrated computer skills to use SAP/WMS System for transactions and troubleshooting\n\nSkill at adding/subtracting/multiplying/dividing with consistent accuracy\n\nAbility to read, write, speak, and understand English\n\nAbility to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly with or without accommodation\n\nAbility to work on feet for extended periods in a fast-paced environment with or without accommodation\n\nAbility to meet shift requirements with excellent attendance\n\nAbility to work mandatory overtime including weekend work when needed\n\nTeamwork and strong interpersonal skills\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nSalary Range $23.50 - $23.50 USD\n\nPay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
