TITLE:  Marlborough Club DirectorREPORTS TO: Director of Program Impact  SCHEDULE: Full Time: 40 hours per week (Typically Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm)SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $70,000Our Mission: Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest (BGCMW)The Boys & Girls Clubs of MetroWest provides social, educational, physical, and cultural programming to enhance the development of youth and prepare young adults to be responsible and productive members of the community.POSITION SUMMARY The Club Director directs and manages the overall daily operations of their Clubhouse. This is a leadership position, which focuses on program and service delivery, staff supervision and training, facilities management, community relations, membership administration, and budget management.KEY RESPONSIBILTIES 1.     Leadership·        Establish Club programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes.·        Ensure a healthy and safe environment, verifying that facilities, equipment, and supplies are properly maintained in strict alignment with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) safety standards and requirements.·        Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified staff and volunteers to maintain optimal operational staffing levels.·        Design, implement, and oversee continuous professional development plans, training schedules, and mentoring opportunities for Club staff to foster career growth and improve program quality.·        Conduct regular staff meetings to ensure organizational alignment and consistent communication·        Develop strategic partnerships with parents, community leaders, and local organizations.2.     Strategic Planning·        Run core BGCA national programs across all major priority areas.·        Plan, deliver, and evaluate daily Club programs and activities to make sure they meet our strategic goals and align with member priorities.·        Build and maintain key community relationships and partnerships that directly support the goals of our strategic plan.·        Keep track of how the Club is doing and send regular updates on activities, attendance, and impact directly to the Director of Program Impact.3.     Resource Management·        Manage Club financial resources and assist in the development of annual Club budget while monitoring expenditures against the approved budget.·        Ensure administrative and operational systems are in place to maintain the physical property and equipment of the Club, including the coordination of facility use by outside groups.4.     Operations and Facilities·        Oversee the daily physical operation of the Club, ensuring the building, grounds, and vehicles are clean, safe, and secure.·        Establish and monitor administrative and operational systems to maintain the physical property, technology, and equipment of the Club.·        Coordinate, schedule, and oversee the utilization of facilities by outside community groups and partners.·        Manage vendors, contractors, and maintenance schedules to ensure repairs and improvements are completed efficiently and safely.·        Implement, enforce, and regularly audit safety, emergency, and crisis management protocols to protect members, staff, and organizational assets, ensuring full compliance with BGCA safety benchmarks.5.     Marketing and Public Relations·        Develop and maintain public relations initiatives to increase the visibility of programs, services, and activities within both the Club and the broader community.Additional Responsibilities·        Purchase or approve the purchase of necessary supplies and equipment.·        Work collaboratively with staff on special events to successfully carry out programs across all departments.·        Exercise proper authority regarding issues relating to members, utilizing the established guidance and discipline plan.·        Assume other operational duties as assigned.Relationships·        Internal: Maintains close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain the organizational mission, program objectives, and operational standards. Regularly discusses ongoing issues and exchanges vital information. Interacts with members as needed to provide discipline, advice, and counsel.·        External: Maintains active contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents, and other stakeholders to assist in resolving problems and to publicize the Club.Skills and Knowledge Required·        A minimum of five years of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization, with a focus on planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.·        Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, vendor coordination, and the recruitment, hiring, training, continuous professional development, and retention of key personnel.·        Strong understanding of standards, youth protection policies, and crisis management procedures.·        Strong communication skills, both oral and written.·        Proven ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate a diverse staff.·        Ability to deal effectively with members, including managing discipline problems.·        Working knowledge of budget preparation, financial control, and overall management.·        Direct skills in organizing and executing fundraising events.·        Demonstrated ability to work productively with young people, parents, and community leaders.
