We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and an understanding of food safety standards. This role is crucial in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and marinating.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
Adhere to food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high standards of food presentation.
Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook or prep cook in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the kitchen team.
Experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus but not required.
