Also requires special knowledge of the mathematical, physical, or engineering sciences. Assignments will be designed to further develop the Engineer’s job knowledge and abilities.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAbility to be a Lead Engineer on singular Civil/Structural projects.\n\nApplies engineering principles in discipline of competency, as assigned by supervisor with minimal direction.\n\nPrepare material specifications for specific components.\n\nPrepares advanced sketches and calculations for a specific segment of a project.\n\nAssists in the development of technical specifications.\n\nEvaluates vendor bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications.\n\nVisits vendor facilities to inspect structures and relevant equipment for compliance with requirements and existing drawings, and to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.\n\nInterfaces with other disciplines and clients.\n\nPrepare Material Take-offs on civil/structural items.\n\nReview vendor drawings and steel fabrication drawings.\n\nDevelop a focus on least cost and safe design for civil/structural systems.\n\nMaintains continued awareness of project schedule and budget.\n\nQualifications\nEngineer must have 5-7 years of progressive experience in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering, preferably in the petrochemical industry.\n\nEngineer must already have attained PE certification or must be making plans to sit for the PE examination.\n\nEducation Requirements\nMust possess the minimum of a BS in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited university.\n\nEEO Statement\nTata Consulting Engineers USA, LLC (“TCE”) is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in our workplace.
